Museums Connecting People and Public Spaces
The Case of Museum of Islamic Art, Doha.
My talk discusses how cultural buildings particularly museums, are reinvented to transform from places for the elite to an urban setting where an interaction between the museum, the public space and the community is achieved. The focus is on one example from Doha, which is the Museum of Islamic Art and its urban context.
